Frequently asked questions
Working Together
What kinds of projects do you take on?
Commercial fashion, beauty, product, still life, and editorial portrait photography for brands, agencies, and direct clients. Campaign, lookbook, e-commerce, portrait, and headshot work are all within scope.
Do you work with agencies and creative teams?
Yes. I work with creative directors, producers, brand managers, editors, founders, and agency teams. I can work from a tight brief, build a visual direction from scratch, collaborate with an existing art department, or execute a defined shot list with room to refine on set.
Do you handle production, or just the shoot?
Both, scaled to the project. I can build and direct full productions, from art direction and location planning to casting, styling, hair, makeup, assistants, and crew. I can also work within the team you or your agency already have in place. Either way, the plan is approved in advance, so the shoot day is organized and ready to work.
Can we review images during the shoot?
Yes. Commercial shoots can be tethered for live review on set, so you, your team, or remote collaborators can review each setup as we work. Approvals happen during the shoot instead of days later, which keeps the process efficient and revisions to a minimum.
Where are you based, and do you travel?
Based in Oceanside, California, serving San Diego, Orange County, and Los Angeles. Available for travel and on-location shoots worldwide.
What is your turnaround time?
Edited galleries are typically delivered within one to two weeks, depending on volume and retouching. Rush timelines can be arranged when you have a hard deadline.
What do I receive?
Final retouched image files are delivered digitally and licensed for the agreed usage. Selects, retouching count, file type, crops, and delivery specs are set per project.
Estimates, Terms, and Licensing
How much does a shoot cost?
Every project is quoted individually. Share your scope, usage, timeline, and budget in the inquiry form, and I'll send a tailored estimate.
How are commercial estimates structured?
A commercial estimate covers the creative fee, production, retouching, deliverables, and usage. A simple portrait session and a multi-image campaign with paid media, crew, talent, styling, and extended licensing are different scopes, so each estimate is built around how the images will be produced and used.
How does licensing work?
Usage is licensed to the campaign: the media, term, and territory where the images will run. We define that before the shoot, so the estimate reflects the actual value and reach of the work. When a campaign expands, runs longer, or moves into new placements, the license can be extended with it.
Who owns the images?
I retain copyright, and you receive a license for the usage we agree on. That keeps the rights clear and the scope clean. Full or exclusive buyouts are available when a project calls for one.
How do I reserve a date?
A signed estimate and deposit reserve your shoot date. The deposit secures the calendar, crew, locations, and production time for the project. Final payment terms are defined in the estimate. Dates book on a first-confirmed basis, so earlier approval gives more room to schedule.
Are you insured?
Yes. I carry commercial liability coverage, and a certificate of insurance is available on request for studios, locations, venues, and production partners. Additional insured endorsements are handled when a location requires one.
How do we get started?
Send an inquiry through the form above or book a 15-minute call. I'll follow up within 24 hours to confirm scope, availability, and next steps.
